Upload from Visual Studio Code
With an SFTP extension, VS Code can upload each file as you save it.
- In the Extensions panel, search for SFTP and install a maintained SFTP extension (the popular one is published by Natizyskunk).
- Open your website's folder, press Ctrl/⌘ + Shift + P and run SFTP: Config.
- Replace the contents of the
.vscode/sftp.jsonfile it creates with:
{
"name": "Pagehaus",
"host": "sftp.pagehaus.app",
"protocol": "sftp",
"port": 2022,
"username": "yoursite",
"remotePath": "/",
"uploadOnSave": true
}
The extension asks for your password when it connects. Better still, use an SSH key: add
"privateKeyPath": "~/.ssh/id_ed25519" and paste the matching .pub key into your login's
settings in the dashboard's SFTP tab.
To upload everything once, run SFTP: Sync Local → Remote. After that, saving a file uploads it.
Keep .vscode/sftp.json out of your site's public files if it contains a password.
