pagehaus

Connect an AI assistant (MCP)

Pagehaus has an MCP server, the standard way for AI assistants to use other services. Once connected, your assistant can create sites and write, read and delete pages for you, and they're live straight away. The server's address is https://pagehaus.app/mcp.

Claude (web, desktop and mobile)

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds it under Admin settings → Connectors first.
  2. Name it Pagehaus and enter this URL: https://pagehaus.app/mcp
  3. Click Connect. You'll be asked to log in to Pagehaus (if you aren't already) and to choose what Claude can use: all your sites, or just one.

ChatGPT

Custom connectors are in ChatGPT's developer mode: turn it on in ChatGPT's settings, create a connector with the URL https://pagehaus.app/mcp and OAuth authentication, then connect and allow access on the Pagehaus page that opens.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http pagehaus https://pagehaus.app/mcp

Then type /mcp in Claude Code and choose to authenticate Pagehaus; your browser opens to sign in.

Codex, Cursor, VS Code and others, with a token

Assistants that don't sign in for you can use a token instead. Create one under Account → API (yoursite: read and write for one site, or All my sites to also create new ones) and put it in an environment variable:

export PAGEHAUS_TOKEN=ph_...

Codex

codex mcp add pagehaus --url https://pagehaus.app/mcp --bearer-token-env PAGEHAUS_TOKEN

Cursor

In .cursor/mcp.json (one project) or ~/.cursor/mcp.json (everywhere):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "pagehaus": {
      "url": "https://pagehaus.app/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${env:PAGEHAUS_TOKEN}" }
    }
  }
}

VS Code

In .vscode/mcp.json. VS Code asks for the token the first time and stores it securely:

{
  "servers": {
    "pagehaus": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://pagehaus.app/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${input:pagehaus-token}" }
    }
  },
  "inputs": [
    { "id": "pagehaus-token", "type": "promptString", "description": "Pagehaus API token", "password": true }
  ]
}

Claude Code, with a token

claude mcp add --transport http pagehaus https://pagehaus.app/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer $PAGEHAUS_TOKEN"

Anything else

Any MCP client that supports the Streamable HTTP transport works: use https://pagehaus.app/mcp, and either sign in with OAuth or send Authorization: Bearer with your token.

Then ask for something

For example: "Make a one-page site for my bakery on Pagehaus, with opening hours and a contact form, and give me the link." The assistant can use these tools:

ToolWhat it does
list_sitesYour sites and their addresses
create_siteA new site (tokens for all sites only)
list_files, read_fileLook at what's there
write_fileCreate or replace a page, stylesheet or image; live immediately
delete_fileRemove a file or an empty folder
get_usageStorage and traffic against your plan

Staying in control

  • The assistant can only use what you allowed. Read-only access can look but not change anything.
  • Connected apps and every change they make are listed under Account → API.
  • Disconnect the app (or revoke the token) there to cut it off; it takes effect on its next request.
  • The same limits, virus scanning and checks apply as when you upload yourself.
