Upload your website with FileZilla
FileZilla is a free program for Windows, Mac and Linux. Download the FileZilla Client (not the Server) from filezilla-project.org.
Quick connect
Fill in the bar at the top of the window and click Quickconnect:
| Host | sftp://sftp.pagehaus.app. Include sftp://, or FileZilla tries plain FTP. |
|---|---|
| Username | yoursite |
| Password | Your Pagehaus password |
| Port | 2022 |
Save it in the Site Manager (recommended)
- Open File → Site Manager and click New site. Name it, for example “yoursite”.
- Set Protocol to SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol.
- Host:
sftp.pagehaus.app, Port:2022. - Logon Type: “Ask for password” (or “Normal” to save it). User:
yoursite. - Click Connect.
- The first time, FileZilla shows “Unknown host key”. Check the fingerprint against the ones on Connecting with SFTP, tick Always trust this host, and click OK.
Upload your files
- The left side shows your computer, the right side your site. The right side opens in your site's top folder.
- On the left, go to the folder that contains your
index.html. - Select your files and folders and drag them to the right side. FileZilla shows progress at the bottom.
- Open https://yoursite.pagehaus.site/ to see the result. Reload if you see an old version.
If it doesn't connect
- “Cannot establish FTP connection to an SFTP server. Please select proper protocol.” FileZilla is
using FTP. Set the protocol to SFTP, or put
sftp://in front of the host. - “Connection timed out” or “Connection refused”: check the port is
2022. - “Authentication failed”: see SFTP troubleshooting.
