Publish a Mobirise site to Pagehaus

Mobirise is a free desktop app for building sites from blocks. It makes plain HTML, CSS and images, which is exactly what Pagehaus hosts, with no extra setup.

1. Create your site on Pagehaus

Create a free site if you haven't yet. It'll be live at https://yoursite.pagehaus.site/, and its name is also your SFTP username.

2. Publish to a folder

  1. In Mobirise, click Publish.
  2. Choose Local drive and pick an empty folder on your computer, then publish. Mobirise writes the whole site there: index.html, the other pages, and its assets folder.

3. Upload the folder

Open your site's Files tab on Pagehaus and drag everything from that folder onto the page (or zip the folder and drag the .zip). Pages that already exist are replaced, and your site is live.

After changes in Mobirise, publish to the same folder again and upload the changed files. To upload only what changed, use an SFTP program such as FileZilla or Cyberduck and its folder sync.

Publishing straight from Mobirise over SFTP

Mobirise can also publish over SFTP from the same window: choose the FTP option, edit the connection, and pick SFTP. Use host sftp.pagehaus.app, username yoursite and your Pagehaus password, and / as the root folder. Pagehaus's SFTP runs on port 2022, not the usual 22, so this only works if your version of Mobirise lets you set the port; if Test Connection fails, use the folder method above.

Contact forms

Mobirise's form blocks send messages through a form service Mobirise connects when you publish. To have Pagehaus email them to you instead, the form needs action="/_form/contact" and method="post": change that in the form's HTML (Mobirise's code editor, if you use it), or in the published page with the Pagehaus editor, remembering that publishing again from Mobirise overwrites it. See contact forms for the fields and the thank-you page.

Your own domain

On a Personal or Pro plan, add the domain under your site's Domains tab and set the DNS records it shows (custom domains guide). Nothing changes in Mobirise.
